TechTalks: 2 organizations which will improve the changed world

Our world has experienced major changes, which made our life better but... not perfect. 'Nothing can be perfect, you gotta keep improving', I agree with this, but I think we will soon achieve “perfectness”.

In 1962, Arkansas,U.S.A. Wal-Mart was launched.

And 13 years later in 1975 Microsoft was launched. Both of these organizations have changed our world, both in different fields, one in retail, while one is in technology. But, what happens if you try to use both of these? You form E-retail and the first thing that comes in your mind when you think of E-retail is  

Amazon.com inc

Founded by Jeff Bezos in Seattle , 1994 this organization has experienced major ups and downs. Many  e-commerce firms were shut down due to the unstable environment of the dotcom (.com) between 1996-1998 but, Amazon survived and 20 years later, it is one of the most successful online retailers or let's say e-tailers. The are high on development and innovation and  the results are right in front of your eyes - fire phone, fire TV, fire hdx, kindle ereaders and what not. They also have amazing services like Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Student, Amazon Mom, Amazon Instant Video, Amazon Web Services, Amazon Appstore and Amazon Global. 6 out of 10 adults who use internet in the U.S are Amazon customers. And Amazon have recently announced that they are investing $2 billion on their Indian Business, so we can expect them to bloom in India.

The simplest question for all Internet users to answer is -

And I think most of you will agree. Google is an essential part of our lives. The multinational corporation was founded in September 4, 1998, Menlo Park, California, United States by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. All of us are familiar with the Google search  and that’s why there are over 3 billion searches daily.Then, there’s Gmail & Hangouts for communication. Google Drive for the office & Newsstand for the daily headlines. Google also have the most famous mobile OS that is Android. They have developed The  Chrome OS  and Nexus Devices. They recently acquired DeepMind, the artificial intelligence company from UK.

My family was not very keen on the idea of buying a Kindle, and my sister never stopped complaining about how there will be no opportunities to ‘smell the pages’ and hear the sound of paper as each one turns, and how the Kindle will ruin the reading experience. My mother only talked about the harmful radiation from electronic devices. But my father came to my rescue and said the Kindle device will help you read more and better, and it indeed has. When I used to read hardcopy book, I did not understand the meaning of difficult words and instead of checking their meanings in the dictionary, I just ignored them like most lazy children. But, now all it requires to check a meaning or to look for Wikipedia information about a word instantly is just a simple touch! My experience with the content has also been amazing, all books are available at a much lower price and you can also subscribe to free newspapers and magazines from www.webtoread.com. While reading a book you can easily highlight or add notes and you can adjust the light you need depending on the situation. You can read in the bright sunlight or in a dark room with no lights on.
